Project Brief
"Create a video presentation about your ‘professional-self’ that describes what you do, how you do it and, crucially, what motivates you. Tell us about how you got to where you are now and where you want to be moving forward. Show us the tools you use and processes you follow, and speak to colleagues and peers to get their angle. Consider the context – how can you show us what you know already, your focus should centre on your knowledge, skills and behaviours?"

Project Reflection
Creating the Industry Sense video proved to be a particularly enriching experience. Having previously worked extensively with Final Cut Pro, transitioning to Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects presented a challenging, albeit essential, learning curve. While initially difficult to navigate, given my prior ability to achieve certain vector manipulations quickly within Apple's Motion or Final Cut, I quickly recognised the importance of a seamless inter-software workflow within the Adobe Creative Suite.
Premiere Pro, in particular, offered a depth of customisation far beyond what I was accustomed to with Final Cut. After Effects on the other hand allowed me to develop some of the more intricate compositions for the video. This introductory project served as an great beginning to the course, giving me the opportunity to showcase my individual approach to editing whilst articulating my understanding of my professional roles at GLO and showcasing introductions to both my tutors and fellow students.
